Create Linux LiveCD from Windows using Rufus

Download Rufus.

Download a Linux ISO:

Ubuntu:

CentOS:

For ease of use and faster download speeds, we generally recommend downloading the most recent 64-bit Ubuntu LTS release via torrent from: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/alternative-downloads


Setup Rufus. Ensure you select the USB device and the ISO Image you want to use.



 


Once complete use the Boot Menu from the BIOS to ensure the USB media is first and you will boot to the LiveCD.
